Bio:
Amy Greil (gry-el) is an Associate Professor of Community Economic Development with the University Wisconsin-Extension, working with the Extension since 2010. She has undertaken a breadth of programming efforts and research. With the City of Kenosha Commission on the Arts, she measures economic impacts of the arts, culture and creativity and has engaged in a comprehensive strategic planning process for through Kenosha Creative Economy Strategic Plan. She is also passionately involved with a community-wide partnership to advance “cradle-to-career” student success through broad based collective impact approaches. Sustainability, though, remains a primary focus as it connects many of her programming efforts—from economic development, social impact networks, community revitalization, and efforts to advance equity and inclusion. She was recognized by her peers in the WI Extension Environment and Community Development Association 2014 Quality of Teaching Award and in 2015 with the Early Career Award. In 2015 she also was honored to receive Kenosha’s young professional network’s Future 5 Award, and 20 under 40 by KenoshaNews in 2017. She proudly serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Kenosha Creative Space.
